What It Means to be Active In Christ

To be "Active in Christ" is to move beyond passive belief and into a lifestyle of transformative action.

It is the transition from simply knowing about God to experiencing Him through service, community, and witness.

"Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:18

A Faith That Moves

These four pillars describe the shift that happens when passive belief becomes active discipleship.

Membership → Discipleship

Following Jesus isn't about being on a roster; it's about a daily commitment to learning His ways and walking in His footsteps.

"I Go to Church" → I AM the Church

We are not spectators in a building. We are the hands and feet of Christ, sent out to be His presence in the world.

"Serve Us" → Service

True faith is outward-facing. We find our greatest joy when we use our God-given gifts to meet the needs of others.

Survival → Generosity

We stop living in fear of "not having enough" and start living in the abundance of God's grace, sharing our time, talent, and treasure freely.

How to Be Active Today

Practical steps to begin living an active, purposeful faith right where you are.

Start Each Morning with Purpose

Begin your day by asking, "Lord, how can I be Your hands today?" Setting an intentional morning posture transforms ordinary moments into sacred ones.

Make Genuine Connections

Turn a simple greeting into a moment of genuine connection. Be present, listen deeply, and look for ways to encourage those God places in your path.

Bring the Church to the World

Don't wait for people to come to the church — take the love of Christ to where the people are. Serve in your community, neighborhood, and workplace.
